好久没写了,忙忙碌碌,浑浑噩噩。总得有点安静的时候,写点自己喜欢的东西。就从今天开始吧。

WHY THE PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT CAN'T SAVE THE PLANET (repost)

notes:

China, at least, is throwing lots of options at the wall to see what sticks.

Perhaps the millennial generation, who weren’t around for Three Mile Island and Chernobyl, will be more open to nuclear energy.

Containment vs. Confinement

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) defines theConfinement as a prevention or control of releases of radioactive material to the environment in operation or in accidents.

Confinement is closely related in meaning to containment, but confinement is typically used to refer to the safety function of preventing the ‘escape’ of  radioactive material, whereas containment refers to the means for achieving that safety function.
The Containment refers to methods or physical structures (e.g. the containment building) designed to prevent as low as reasonably achievable the dispersion of radioactive substances.
